I Saw You From Space can be described as a wall of guitars and a conflict of dreams.  In fact, the song was actually inspired by a dream.  I was trying to decide if I had the guts to leave my hometown and move 1,000 miles away to a music town in pursuit of a career as a musician.  If I moved, it could cost me a relationship with someone I loved.  If I stayed, it could cost me my dream of having a music career.  I was locked in a battle between two HUGE life choices and wrote this song to help me sort through it.

Musically, the first half of the song was inspired by the album 4:13 Dream by The Cure, while the back half was inspired by the Foo Fighters album Wasting Light.  I wanted to make the guitars into a thick texture that would allow the listener to reflect on their own dreams and experiences.
